About Me

Omar Al-Ani is a friend, coach, teacher, and mentor of young American Muslims with a focus on middle school and high school ages. His ability to connect and develop strong relationships with young American Muslims is what makes him unique. He is known for his quirky laugh, his profound voice, and his unmissable presence.Omar frequently delivers Friday sermons, talks, and lessons at various mosques and events within, and beyond, his community. He also organizes experiences and events for young Muslims to encourage their development beyond the lesson.Omar completed his graduate degree in Islamic Studies from The Islamic Seminary of America. He has over five years of experience teaching Islamic Studies in a formal classroom setting, with twelve years of experience in youth work and tarbiyah.Omar enjoys the outdoors, sports, and spending time with family and friends. He currently resides in Memphis, TN, with his wife and four children, cats, and backyard chickens.
